Dan was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Alvin and Delores (Steinke) Hastings.

He married Rita Hofmeier.

From 1959-1975, Dan served in the Army, including two tours of duty in Vietnam and had also been stationed in Germany. At the time of his death, he was attending the Alabama Aviation Technical Collage in Ozark. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Connie Hastings; two sons, Larry and Ronnie; his mother Delores Schnell of Genoa; his maternal grandmother, Tena Steinke of La Crosse.

His siblings are: Margie Dennison and Judith McClellan; and two brothers, Jerry and Carl.

STODDARD - Carl R. Hastings passed away peacefully Sunday, March 7, 2010 surrounded by his loved ones at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.

He was born in Genoa on July 31, 1943, to Alvin and Delores (Steinke) Hastings.

Carl had been a member of Genoa Legion Post 246.

He is survived by two daughters, Carla (Bob) Friet of St. Joseph Ridge and Cori (Tom) Tri of Kewaunee, WI; two sons, Randy (Colleen) Hastings of Trempealeau and Shayne (Shar) Hastings of Holmen; 14 grandchildren; his mother Delores of La Crosse; two sisters, Judy (Bernie) McClellan of Genoa and Margie Dennison of La Crosse; one brother Jerry (LaVonne) Hastings of Chaseburg; and his ex-wife Bettie Hastings of Stoddard.

He was preceded in death by his father; one brother Dan; an infant son, Ray Carl Hastings; and his second wife Cathy.

Carl was cremated, his ashes were buried on his infant son's grave, RAY CARL HASTINGS.

Alvin L. (Pick) Hastings died in a La Crosse hospital early Sunday,June 4. He was born in Genoa, Wisconsin on July 18, 1910, to Walter and Jessie(Strong)Hastings. He was an employee of Dairyland Power Company for 25 years. On March 25, 1936 he married Delores P. Steinke. Alvin and Delores had two daughters, Judith and Margie, and three sons, Jerry, Dan and Carl. They also had 14 grandchildren. Survived by two sisters Anna Mason Kreuger and Ardith Zierke; and one brother, Forrest.
